2024 Intern, Inside Sales Consultant - Life Insurance, Fall (4 months)

As an Inside Wholesaler Intern, Individual Insurance, you will proactively developnew relationships and enhance existing relationships with insurance advisors in a defined territory by giving added value advice with the goal of increasing the sales of RBC Insurance through the individual brokerage channel.

What will you do?

• Partner with Sales Consultant and inside sales consultants to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets
• Proactively contact insurance advisors to gain information and insight into their practices
• Provide insight and sales ideas related to the insurance industry & system training (BIC, Illustrations, etc)
• Analyze and identify sales and cross selling opportunities in RBC Insurances block of business

What will you need to succeed?

• Requires fluency in French and English to serve our clients in the community with English speaking needs. To support business operations outside of Quebec (with RBCs national office in Ontario).

Must have

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in French & English (oral and written)
• Professional customer service skills and a talent for listening, establishingrapport and finding the right solution
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Digital literacy across a broad range of services (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.) with above average typing skills, internet and computer navigation.
