Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring that products, services, and processes meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a contract position for the duration of the project (anticipated completion date of September, 2028) for Construction Demathieu & Bard's joint venture (referred to as Leaside Valley Builders) with EBC.

Work Conditions
The work must be performed in person at various project sites located within the East York region of Toronto for the completion of two multi-span bridges, slope stabilization, underpass rehabilitation and all other associated works (temporary roads, bridges, traffic control, etc.) You may also need to periodically visit to CDB's head office in Peterborough for events and training.

Responsibilities

· Maintaining quality documentation according to established manuals, programs, and procedures

· Preparing and executing inspections and test plans

· Performing quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications

· Maintaining log of inspection status

· Reviewing Certified Material Test Reports as required

· Performing internal monitoring as required

· Completing all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections

· Writing non-conformance reports

· Providing expertise to site team to avoid and resolve quality issues

· Managing initial set-up of the project including the development and submission of documents requiring review and approval, ensuring that current references are printed or electronically available

· Attending client’s meetings

· Assisting with the resolution of project related technical concerns

· Coordinating field activities with the Health and Safety team when required

· Reviewing and signing data reports

· Coordinating third party testing firms

· Other duties as assigned

Requested skills

Education/ certifications

·        Post Secondary Education in Civil Engineering or similar program, or a combination of relevant training and experience

·        P. Eng or EIT designation is preferred

 

Experience and Technical Knowledge

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in in similar role, preferably in the construction industry

·        Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required
