The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
We are seeking a results-oriented NPI Commercialization Leader to lead the project managers Team. The successful candidate will lead a talented group of project managers, driving them to execute, and commercialize high impact new products that critical to TEBG product platform and vertical growth priorities. As the leader of this team, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercialization success and growth opportunities.
As a R&D commercialization leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Lead project managers team to drive large scale, high impact new products commercialization to deliver critical NPI milestones
- Collaborate with product platform and vertical leaders to develop a healthy commercialization pipeline
- Lead R&D commercialization process and rhythm to ensure data adherence, gaps to be identified and escalated, and accurate reporting on 3M GROW NPI dashboard, NPI result & forecast, RPM (resource portfolio manager) on R&D resources
- Review and analyze commercialization performance
- Lead product platform/vertical R&D planning process and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support corporate and BG requests on strategic planning, QOR, QFR, etc.
- Work with corporate R&D team for continuous improvement of commercialization process, ensure execution / compliance with commercialization standards and expectations / processes
- Propose, develop, and lead initiatives to increase the impact of commercialization globally
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, commercialization, product engineering, project engineering, project management.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Advanced degree from an accredited University and/or PMP Certification
- Five(5) years of experience in new product commercialization in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Demonstrated track record in leading large-scale projects with strong deliverables.
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral
- Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading large cross functional project team
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong self-initiative, organizational and administrative skills

Travel: May include up to 15% Domestic and/or International Travel
