The starting annual salary for this Middle School Teacher position ranges from $37,102.80 to $67,074.80, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Chief Dan George Middle School is a grade 6-8 school with approximately 600 students in three tracks: English, Late
French Immersion, and Early French Immersion. Our school inquiry question is “How can we create an equitable school
culture that promotes a sense of belonging, well-being, and academic success for all students?”
Education & Experience
Teacher Training with a major in French and/or experience teaching French Immersion
Must be able to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French
Experience and course work in LSS or willingness to commit to coursework
Demonstrated experience teaching French Immersion and working Learning Support Services, or education in these areas in progress
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
