The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Eugene Reimer Middle School is a diverse learning community empowering the whole person toward individual success, community involvement and global citizenship. At Eugene Reimer we adopted the Abbotsford City of Character virtues: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, Courage, and Service.
As a Character Champion, Eugene Reimer will purposefully teach students these virtues and impact the development of our students as strong citizens.
This position will teach Grade 7 Language Arts, Social Studies, French, Health & Career, and Physical Health Education.
Education & Experience
Intermediate/Middle teacher training with major practicum work/experience at the Intermediate/Middle level Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and the implementation of high impact instructional strategies
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize curriculum, learning spaces, individualized programs
Experience teaching ELA, SS, at the middle school level
Experience teaching CORE French at the Intermediate/Middle level
Experience teaching careers
Experience teaching PE
Experience with student leadership
Experience in a SEL focused classroom
Experience in a blended teaching model
Willing to teach all subject areas
Experience working with difficult to reach students and families, or, students and families in crisis
Successful recent teaching evaluation or practicum report
Eligible for BC Teacher Certification
