Reporting to the Director, Electricity and Projects, the incumbent is responsible for managing contracts issued on the port site, as well as ensuring that agreements are respected. The incumbent supports the Operations department through his presence in the field and follow-up with subcontractors. He ensures the smooth running and monitoring of all Operations Department projects.

Responsabilities

  • Monitor work and schedules for all operations projects and internal work requests;
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors in the territory for QPA operations (over 100 subcontractors);
  • Master the contractual requirements of all calls for tender issued by the Operations group and ensure compliance during maintenance, inspections and work;
  • Be in charge of inspection follow-ups for all equipment and the various departments involved in operations (maintenance, cruises, marina, etc.);
  • Develop needs and requirements for various maintenance contracts and new calls for tender, in collaboration with the manager;
  • Handle correspondence between subcontractors and team members (lockouts, water connections, cruise requirements, miscellaneous requests, etc.);
  • Write visit reports for projects or regular maintenance contracts;
  • Help compile our assets for GMAO;
  • Manage non-conformities that may arise from requests and/or follow-ups with our subcontractors;
    Coordinate visits, work dates and site availability for all contracts;
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines for various external mandates and the presence of various external teams mandated by Operations;
  • Ensure proper preparation of site and equipment prior to subcontractor work;
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with QPA rules and procedures during work carried out by subcontractors;
  • Be responsible for providing all up-to-date information, including modifications if required, so that subcontractors can carry out the work properly;
  • Ensure that the occupational health and safety rules established by the organization are respected by all parties involved, in collaboration with the Health and Safety Department;
  • Ensure compliance with various permits (confined space, lockout procedures, safety procedures and hot work permits, etc.);
  • Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with environmental laws, regulations and policies.

  • Provide day-to-day coordination to various Port of Québec stakeholders;
  • Use his knowledge in the various fields of construction;
  • Follow up on the progress of various works and projects with subcontractors;

  • A good general knowledge of the construction and civil engineering trades;

Requested skills

Formation
DEP, AEC or DEC in a relevant field, or any other combination deemed appropriate.

Expérience
5 to 7 years' experience in infrastructure maintenance and/or subcontractor management, including electrical, water, plumbing, grounds and road maintenance, etc.
