About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist with experience testing solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SaaS-based applications. The ideal candidate will be adept at designing test plans and executing both manual and automated testing, with an overall goal of ensuring high-quality software releases in both on-premise (BC) and cloud (SaaS) contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Strategy
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria for features in BC and SaaS applications.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Testing
- Work closely with Business Central consultants and developers to test core functionalities (e.g., finance, sales, purchasing) and customizations or extensions.
- Validate BC customizations—extensions, reports, workflows—to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Perform end-to-end process testing (e.g., order-to-cash, procure-to-pay) and data validation inside BC.
- SaaS Application Testing
- Create and maintain manual and automated test suites for SaaS-based environments.
- Ensure consistent functional coverage, UI/UX testing, and API integration testing of cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor and verify application performance and reliability across various browsers and devices.
- Automation & Tools
- Leverage automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or others) to streamline testing processes.
- Use CI/CD tools to integrate automated tests within build pipelines for continuous feedback on quality.
- Configure and maintain test environments in both local and cloud-based setups.
- Defect Tracking & Reporting
- Log defects, track and prioritize them based on impact and severity, and facilitate resolution with development teams.
- Provide regular status updates, including test coverage, defect metrics, and potential risks.
- Contribute to root cause analysis sessions to prevent defect recurrence.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the QA team to standardize best practices, maintain test documentation, and improve processes.
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and showcase QA progress.
- Train and mentor junior QA team members on best practices for BC and SaaS testing.
- Compliance & Best Practices
- Adhere to QA industry standards and company compliance policies (e.g., GDPR, SOX if applicable).
- Stay updated on the latest QA methodologies and tools, and proactively propose process improvements.
