What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking our next co-op estimator student to support our civil east group at our Montreal head office.

What Youll Do Here:

• Being mentored by Senior and Chief Estimators in bidding projects including construction approach
• Pursuing various projects including a combination of private client proposals, design-build and bid-build projects ranging from mining processing plants, industrial plants, to water & wastewater treatment
• Working with the estimating team on proposal preparation including: Quantity takeoff and updating estimate software with quantities
• Database analysis
• Subcontractor/Vendor solicitation
• Subcontractor/Vendor Quote comparisons & analysis
• Entering quotes into estimate software
• Assisting with project execution
• Assisting in design build process and working with design teams
• Preparing portions of estimates utilizing Hard Dollar Estimating software
• Preparing portions of schedules utilizing Primavera P6 software
• Preparation of handover documents to site team for successful bids

What You Bring to the Team:

• Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Bilingual French/English required
• A valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
• Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for normal functions and special assignments
• Attention to detail, mathematical, analytical skills and accuracy
• Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external clients
• Service orientation and ability to work effectively with a team environment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Database and P6 knowledge an asset
