Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. ACSI is seeking experienced Crane Operator Journeypersons who will be integral to our projects success. Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Crane Operator is responsible for safety and efficiently operating a mobile crane to life and move heavy materials at our Mod Yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operators manupulate many pedals and levers to rotate the crane and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines.
• May drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation).
• Set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
• Journeyperson may mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.

Requirements and Experience

• CSTS-20 Certificate
• Mobile Elevated Work Platform
• Fall Protection
• Experience as a Crane Operator in an industrial construction environment.
• Experience operating rough terrain cranes with capacities up to 160 tons.
• Experience with crawler cranes up to 275 tons is preferred.
• Proven ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
• Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Location: Leroy, SK

Rate: $49.00 per hour

Premium: $0.20 / 10 Ton over 66+Ton

Overtime: Per collective agreement

Schedule: 14/7, day and night shift

Camp: Yes

Allowances: Per pre job, Travel allowance based on proof of residence.
