Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. Were always on the search for exceptional craft candidates to fill our ever-expanding project portfolios. We are focused on hiring only those exceptional individuals who value safety in the workplace and remain committed to the collective goal of maintaining our Aecon zero injury culture.

ACSI is seeking experienced Materials Technicians to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recieves shipments and ensures that they are complete and in good order.
  • Applies inventory management practices and maintains accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinates and arranges transportation of materials on site amongst trade groups.
  • Maintains material identification records inventory.
  • Operates material handling equipment (dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, conveyors).
  • Handles and stores products in appropriate storage areas.
  • Journeyperson may supervise apprentices and warehouse personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience

  • CSTS-20 Certificate
  • Experience as a Materials Technician in an industrial construction environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Project: BHP Wet Mill Assembly

Location: Leroy, SK

Rate: $32.30 to $46.13 per hour

Overtime: Per collective agreement

Schedule: 14/7

Camp: Yes

Allowances: Per pre job, Travel allowance based on proof of residence.
