You are someone who:

  • Manages program and project risk and opportunity for specific bundles and work packages following Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Defines and implements risk management framework (policy, strategy, plan), implement risk management process, and organize risk management resources with leadership support across the participants in ONxpress.
  • Conducts Risk Assessment Workshops with the project teams and program partners (including Metrolinx).
  • Leads and supports identification and definition of risk and opportunity, evaluate potential impact, and develop effective risk mitigation measures to reduce potential cost and schedule impacts to the bundles and work packages.
  • Manages the assessment, evaluation, prioritization, and update of risks for all bundles and work packages.
  • Monitors and measures the associated mitigation actions to avert risk occurrence.
  • Directs and participates in regular risk reviews to identify, capture, and agree risks, with the project teams and program partners (including Metrolinx).
  • Performs QCRA and QSRA using ARM and Safran to inform and recommend appropriate mitigation actions and ensure progress to recovery plans.
  • Directs and reviews the cost of mitigation action, budget and actual (both in the risk register and work breakdown structure) and evaluate risks to ensure contingency reserves are accurate supporting rigorous cost control.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports for risk data analysis.

You bring:

  • A post graduate diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field, required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Risk Manager or similar role.
  • Previous have experience or vast understanding of Project Controls (estimate/cost and schedule).
  • Proven knowledge of risk methodology and tools, knowledge of key functional disciplines including Commercial, Finance, Operations and Procurement.
  • Effective and persuasive in building a network of contacts, creating strong relationships with performing functional areas and clients.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (CJV aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
