The role of the Ancillary Revenues Analyst - Air involves evaluating the effectiveness of ancillary sales associated with air travel and pinpointing strategies to boost revenue through the modification of current offerings or the introduction of new products. The individual in this role will provide reports to the Ancillary Revenues Manager - Air.

Candidate experience and qualifications will be assessed directly against the requirements of the position. Should the level of qualification exceed the current scope and deliverables at the analyst level, further review may be taken into consideration to fill this position as Ancillary Revenues Manager - Air.

Responsibilities:
  • Craft and implement measurement metrics to monitor the performance of Air Ancillary services and provide progress updates.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales figures to uncover growth opportunities for air ancillary income by revising pricing strategies for offerings including seats, baggage, and upgrades.
  • Execute prompt post-promotion evaluations of ancillary deals to enhance future initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to analyze data and create customer-focused, revenue-generating offers for post-purchase ancillaries.
  • Review point-of-sale data to suggest modifications to the product lineup and pricing across diverse customer interaction points.
  • Evaluate the utilization of ancillaries within different fare categories and propose adjustments to the ancillary assortment to align with consumer demand and foster upselling prospects.
  • Assess the use of premium cabin and formulate strategies to reduce unsold seats by modifying prices for our upgrade products.
  • Partner with Pricing Operations, Merchandising, and Revenue Management teams to guarantee that the distribution of ancillary services aligns with pricing goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, eCommerce, and other teams to synchronize and launch various campaigns, website modifications, and A/B testing.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and benchmarking to seize opportunities for increasing ancillary revenue.
  • Remain updated on legal and regulatory mandates related to the sale of ancillary services.
  • Interface with key stakeholders across Air Canada to ensure that the evolution of ancillary products is in harmony with the company's overarching customer value proposition and commercial objectives
Qualifications
  • University degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring pricing strategies.
  • Hands-on team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Action/results oriented, analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize heavy workloads comprised of routines and adhoc tasks
