Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Reporting and Investor Relations, the Investor Relations Analyst is responsible for supporting the design and execution of Air Canada's investor relations strategy. The analyst is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the Investor Relations department, performing various market research, contributing to the release of public information, handling inquiries from the investor community and preparing materials for investor events.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Reporting and Investor Relations, the Investor Relations Analyst is responsible for supporting the design and execution of Air Canada's investor relations strategy. The analyst is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the Investor Relations department, performing various market research, contributing to the release of public information, handling inquiries from the investor community and preparing materials for investor events.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor public communications (news, transcripts, presentations, financial disclosures) from other airlines. Follow industry trends, analyze financial disclosures and provide insights on trends to management.
- Keep abreast of company-communicated information for consistency. Assist in the production of the company's earnings releases, analyst call scripts, presentations for investor conferences, (including briefing material and presentation and meeting materials), management's discussion and analysis of results, annual information form and various internal reports.
- Track, review and analyze sell-side estimates consensus. Review and analyze sell-side analyst reports and financial models. Proactively provide summaries for management.
- Assist in the development of internal and external presentations on the results of operations, key financial metrics and industry trends, including all pertinent back- up information
- Manage day to day management of Investor Relations matters, including keeping up to date the CRM database, making updates to the Investor Relations section of the Air Canada website, monitor IR inbox and voicemail box and ensuring inquiries from investor and analysts are handled on a timely basis and collaborating with employee communications and media relations teams.
- Monitor and manage the investor relations activities calendar, coordinate meetings, roadshows, and conferences.
- Monitor Air Canada's shareholder base and summarize notable changes. Cross-reference changes in shareholder base with CRM database. Support investor targeting initiatives by generating peer holders reports and other relevant reports.
- Perform benchmark and research of disclosure practices in the aviation industry and for leading companies in Canada, US, and Europe. Keep abreast of changes in disclosure practices, best practices and provide recommendations to management.
- Review internal and external disclosure documents to ensure all financial and statistical information disclosed therein is accurate. Collaborate with the financial reporting team and other internal stakeholders to conduct due diligence to ensure the accuracy of Air Canada's public disclosures.
- University business, accounting, finance degree or related fields.
- Minimum two years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research. Experience in a publicly traded company and knowledge of the airline industry are assets.
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following fields/software is an asset: financing modelling, investor relations, capital markets, Bloomberg, CapIQ, FactSet Investor Relations CRM, accounting, public relations and communications.
- Self-starter with ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure and competing demands.
- Knowledgeable of financial reporting and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint with willingness to learn financial software/applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position.
