Reporting to the Director, ACM Business Transformation, the Manager, OCM and Transformation is a key element to the ACM ecosystem that will help achieve greater organizational maturity. Working closely with the senior leadership, the incumbent will develop and formulate cross-functional strategies to achieve full participation and drive faster adoption in support of transformational initiatives and innovations. The incumbent leads transformational projects and provides expertise through coaching on organizational change management and transformational leadership competencies to Air Canada Maintenance ACM" leaders. They will also coach and guide leaders and stakeholders on how to communicate, engage, and motivate their teams during times of change and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Additionally, they will assess the current and desired state of change readiness and capability, identify and address gaps and opportunities for improvement, and ensure the sustainability of change efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute and/or support comprehensive organizational change management strategies tailored to ACM's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to define and refine strategic goals and objectives and ensure that all transformation efforts are closely aligned with the strategic/corporate objectives.
  • Lead and oversee large-scale organizational transformation projects.
  • In collaboration with senior leaders, lead the development and implementation of change management plans that align with the branch's vision and objectives.
  • Design and implement effective communication and change management strategies that inform, involve, and inspire teams during times of change, using persuasive and diplomatic skills to overcome resistance and foster commitment.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of organizational change management theories, models, frameworks, and best practices to design and deliver customized solutions across ACM.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation by facilitating cross-functional dialogue and knowledge sharing among leaders and teams to support transformational projects.
  • Assess the current and desired state of leadership and stakeholder engagement and readiness for change management through various OCM and Transformation programs/projects.
  • Identify the key leadership and stakeholder attributes and competencies that are essential for effective change management and transformation.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the value and impact of leadership and stakeholder involvement and support in the change process and management operating system.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to leaders and stakeholders on how to develop and enhance their change management and transformation skills and behaviors.
  • Identify gaps that limit ACM's business transformation capabilities. Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that address the identified gaps and leverage the opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and expertise to ensure successful and consistent application of change management methodologies.
  • Collaborate with HR on initiatives related to leadership and development opportunities, people initiatives and culture transformation.
  • Observe and identify root causes of organizational effectiveness issues and opportunities and lead corrective actions.
  • Define and implement a process to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of change management and transformation approaches.
  • Ensure sustainability of change management and transformation efforts by embedding best practices and lessons learned into the organizational culture and processes.
  • Design and facilitate strategic workshops that engage clients in identifying their change management and transformation needs and goals.
  • Assist clients in developing actionable plans that outline the scope, objectives, roles, and responsibilities for change management and transformation programs/projects. Provide tools and templates to help clients structure and document their plans and track their progress and results.
  • Engage and inspire leaders to embrace and champion change before, during, and after changes are rolled out.
  • Perform the branch maturity assessment and educate the teams on organizational change management best practices and methodologies.
  • Assess organizational risks and develop mitigation strategies for change management and transformation initiatives.
  • Participate as an active member of Air Canada's change management community of practice.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in change management, leadership coaching, or strategic planning (Prosci, CCMP) (an asset).
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in change management/Organizational development.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated capability for inspiring and developing teams for success.
  • Effective organizational skills and an aptitude for managing the pace of change.
  • Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and viewed as credible.
  • Effective communication skills, coaching skills and ability to influence and persuade others to action.
  • PC proficiency (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Able to travel.
