We are seeking a Quality Assurance Accessibility Analyst to join our IT Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits and assessing our products and services according to regulatory requirements or guidelines, including the Canadian Transportation Agency's Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (ATPDR), Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The candidate will provide feedback and recommendations for improvements, report non-compliance, assist in the production of reports, and ensure that our offerings meet accessibility standards and provide an excellent user experience for people with disabilities.

The Quality Assurance Accessibility Analyst"plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Air Canada products and services.

As a QA Accessibility Analyst, you will evaluate and audit our products and services to ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines. You will identify and report non-conformance to regulatory controls and propose recommendations to remove accessibility barriers. You will be part of a dynamic team of individuals sharing a common vision to enhance and better Air Canada products in line with Air Canada's Accessibility Plan.

Responsabilities:

Analytical skills:
  • Execute and maintain the QA process for Accessibility Testing
  • Evaluate the outcomes of testing according to expected results and produce reports.
  • Provide recommendations on product and service improvements.
  • Work with the QA Manager to maintain the Accessibility Test Strategy and provide QA Service improvement recommendations to the QA Centre of Excellence team.
Communication and collaboration skills:
  • Report non-compliance to regulatory controls and assist in the production of reports to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the IT QA Manager and other cross-functional team members to help drive change by participating in focus groups or sharing your observations and experience while using Air Canada products and services.
Documentation:
  • Document and maintain test artifacts.
  • Log defects and steps to reproduce the issues providing detailed feedback on end user experience and impact.
  • Support the production of test reports to identify conformance levels to various stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of QA experience or equivalent
  • Experience with accessibility testing and auditing: The candidate should have knowledge of the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (ATPDR), Accessible Canada Act (ACA), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2).
  • A passion for improving the user experience for people with disabilities: The candidate should have a personal interest in making Air Canada products and services accessible and user-friendly for people with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of adaptive tools and technology and the ability to use them: The candidate should be familiar with the use of adaptive tools and technology that can enhance the accessibility of Air Canada products and services and can use them to execute their job functions.
Linguistics Competencies: The Candidate must be bilingual in both English and French with strong communication skills.
