Reporting to the Director, Regulatory Compliance and Controls, we are currently seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Compliance team and who will assist in the development and implementation of TCC's compliance program, support core compliance functions such as client onboardings, employee training and regulatory inspections and filings, review and update policies and procedures and provide advice on regulatory matters involving obligations under securities legislation.

The position is based in downtown Montreal.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review and update policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of TCC's compliance program
  • Monitor the firm's activities and those of the people acting on its behalf to ensure compliance with TCC's regulatory landscape
  • Analyze and assist with the implementation of new regulation affecting the firm's activities
  • Assist with regulatory inspections, filings and audits
  • Assist with the preparation of various compliance reports as requested by the supervisor
  • Participate in the review and approval of client onboardings
  • Complete third-party AML and KYC requests
  • Develop employee training (ad-hoc or recurring) in relevant compliance matters
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes where applicable to ensure consistency, efficiency and clarity
  • Support the compliance team in the execution of group tasks and projects, as needed
  • Act as a resource person in compliance regulatory matters
Qualifications
  • Education and Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, finance, law, etc.) or an equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in compliance and securities law
  • Experience with writing policies and procedures
  • Good understanding of the general requirements for client onboardings (KYC, AML, accredited investor etc.)
  • Good understanding of the regulatory framework and best practices within the asset management industry

Linguistic Requirements

Bilingual (English and French). This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to provide support to clients and employees located outside Quebec or who require services in a language other than French.
