Description
As part of an inter-professional team, the Outreach Worker reports to the Manager, Addiction & Mental Health, and works under the direction of the clinical supervisor of Assertive Outreach Services. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.
Class 5 or non-GDL driver's licence.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, CPR, Connect Care training.
