Description
If you enjoy working onsite in a fast-paced environment, providing general administrative support to a diverse team of health professionals, this position will be of interest to you. This position will be located on site within the Northgate Public Health Centre, on the Program and Planning Support team. Some of the key responsibilities of the Public Health Programs Administrative Support III include but are not limited to: Coordinating appointments, interviews and orientations. Updating business related documents. Preparing statistical reports. Records Management. Supply/resource inventory and ordering. Data entry and collation of data. Front reception/greeting clients. Liaising with internal and external partners. Mailroom support and general office duties.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Two years recent experience within a Medical Office setting is required. A minimum of one-year recent experience working within Community Health Services is required. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Fluency with virtual platforms ( i.e. MS Teams) is required. Experience drafting, editing and proofreading correspondence is required. Must have the ability to analyze data with attention to detail. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift >30lbs. Strong oral/written communication skills are required. Strong organizational skills are required. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
Post secondary Medical Office Assistant education is an asset. Experience with Meditech and/or Connect Care is an asset. Experience with Mass Immunization Programs is an asset. Note: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a two-part computer based skills assessment test. Only those who successfully pass the skills assessment test with a passing mark of 80% on each part will be contacted for an interview.
