The Opioid Dependency Program in Red Deer provides holistic support to people diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder. We are seeking an energetic and flexible individual to administratively support our Program. You will be providing integral support to the ODP service, team and clients. From a recovery-oriented, asset-based perspective, the AS III will work as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team to provide support to various medical and clinical staff, providing support in scheduling, prioritizing tasks & deadlines, data entry, preparing minutes, initiating & composing correspondence, managing referrals on an EMR (Connect Care), coordinating meetings, assisting Health Care Providers with various requests, & maintaining documentation on Connect Care. You will often be the first point of contact & required to schedule various treatment visit types on behalf of the clinical staff. Welcoming & engaging interactions with clients, families, staff, and external stakeholders are instrumental responsibilities. Key skills required are multitasking, time management, organization, critical thinking, initiative & problem solving, working collaboratively with programs & services, maintain positive, professional, cooperative relationships with internal and external programs, services, and clients. You must exercise extraordinary communication skills. Strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills and decision making is essential to the success of this team environment. We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled, detail and quality-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of the purpose and goals of the team and the ability to bring ideas forward are important. As an AS III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills & knowledge to support complex procedures, practices & initiatives.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Advanced intermediate knowledge of computer technology and applications including but not limited to MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio, MS OneNote, MS Power Point, Connect Care are essential. Demonstrated competency in Timekeeping/Approval is required. 60 words per minute typing speed. At least five years’ experience providing service to vulnerable populations is required.
