As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within the Comprehensive Breast Care Program, supporting the clinical team in the coordination and navigation of patients from suspicion of breast cancer through diagnostic imaging, to surgery, and other cancer and breast health services. The incumbent will be working in a unique and, at times, highly emotional environment which requires a calm and patient demeanor. He / She will interact with a variety of staff, physicians, and public. This position requires an individual with a strong but professional attitude.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial or administrative certificate from an approved business school/college; previous experience and related education may be considered. Two years recent related administrative experience is required; preferably with oncology, surgery, and breast health background. Demonstrated proficiency of the English language, both written and verbal, is required. Must have excellent communication skills as there is a high degree of interaction with patients and providers and a variety of disciplines at all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills required: including proficiency in Netcare, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Connect Care, Schregistrar, Compass Rose required. Accurate typing with a minimum speed of 50 wpm is required. Medical Terminology certificate required. Experience and accuracy in high volume data entry and records/information management required. Adaptable and team-oriented with a strong customer service focus. Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment, including working under pressure, adapting and responding to changing priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team. Proven reliability and dependability. The incumbent will be working in a unique and, at times, highly emotional environment which requires a calm and patient demeanor. Must be physically able to carry out all duties of the position.

Experience with Connect Care, Schregistrar, Compass Rose is preferred.
