As part of the Administrative Support team, you will provide support to clinic staff and assist in day-to-day operations and coordination of the office. These duties include the ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively and possess strong computer and word processing skills. The incumbent works collaboratively with staff and public, maintaining confidentiality and a positive and professional image. The town of High Level is located in the scenic northwestern reaches of Alberta. Residents enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreational activities including fishing, golfing, hockey, hunting, camping and swimming, just to name a few. Pleasant summer days and midnight sunsets make living in Northern Alberta a truly unforgettable experience. Northern Allowance: In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Travel Expense Reimbursement: Permanent and temporary employees working in excess of one (1) year whose work sites are above the 57th parallel are also eligible to receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses to an annual maximum of $1,235. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta. Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
