This position is required to be on site at Kitscoty CHC and is not a remote working opportunity. Reporting to the CAS Area Coordinator/Manager, this position supports community health programs (i.e., Public Health, Home Care, Allied Health, Children’s Rehab Services) operating at the Community Health Centre by maintaining client records, database entries and file management systems; handling procurement functions and maintaining inventories, tracking systems and providing information to management upon request; providing all aspects of reception and registration services to clients (as a backup) while also supporting management, staff and the public; accepting payments and performing accounting tasks; contacting clients, booking appointments and responding to queries; communicating, exchanging, seeking and reporting information; providing administrative support to the office; acting as a resource to management and staff. This position requires a strong presence of computer knowledge and skills as well as good knowledge of policies and procedures for Alberta Health Services community-based programs and support services.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

A post-secondary Administrative Certificate required or a combination of education & applicable experience suitable to the Employer. Demonstrated accuracy & proficiency in intermediate computer & keyboarding skills; minimum 40 wpm required. Test will be administered. Demonstrated proficiency in working with Word, Excel, Outlook Calendar bookings & other Windows Office Suite programs required. Test will be administered. Two years practical office experience. Ability to work collaboratively with managers & staff from the various departments. Examples of exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, multi-task environment serving staff, management, clients & the public with both internal staff services & public service. Examples showing willingness & ability to adapt to new situations, changes & data systems that are implemented. Ability to exercise judgment, professionalism, diplomacy & discretion and always maintain confidentiality. Ability to cope under pressure, deal with stress effectively & demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with setting priorities to work productively & in a well-organized manner. Must be capable of pushing & pulling wheeled carts up to & occasionally exceeding 25kgs. Must be capable of walking, sitting or standing for long periods of time. Must be able to regularly use hand & arms to reach, lift & carry items up to 25kgs. Must be able to maneuver stairs &/or step stool. Ability to continuously wear a medical mask.

Familiarity with Netcare, Connect Care, CPSM & Grand and Toy supply requisitioning systems and community based Meditech applications (i.e., CWS). Familiarity with community-based health programs.
