Are you interested in using your specialized skills to support Albertan’s fighting cancer? An exciting opportunity exists to grow your skills and join a dynamic team within the Cross Cancer Centre (CCI). The CCI is a leading comprehensive cancer facility, dedicated to academic and research in providing cancer services for Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Reporting to the Unit Managers of Inpatient & Ambulatory Clinics, the Staffing Clerk (SC) will support numerous multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing SC duties to ensure operational staffing requirements/needs are met. Your duties will include maintaining staffing levels by booking/cancelling staff, connecting with operational leaders to address any staffing need requirements, capturing any changes in eSummit, working with HR on any concerns, It is essential that in this position the representative must be able to make independent decisions, work under minimal supervision, able to handle conflict and difficult situations, as well as have a high level of problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our patients and clinicians. You will be instrumental in facilitating communication between the multi-disciplinary members and operations in managing time-off requests, shift trades, and sick calls, while maintaining confidentiality of each individual team member. You must accomplish the above stated tasks with professionalism and demonstrate our Mission and Core Values. As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Some post-secondary education.

Minimum one year Staffing experience. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions, noise, and changing demands. Able to lift, push, or pull more than 35 pounds. Bending, lifting, walking long distances at times as well as long periods of sitting is required. Computer keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to prioritize and manage stress. Must be able to demonstrate clear written and verbal communication with team members. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in an Inpatient and Ambulatory department. Experience in Oncology/Hematology department. Experience working with eSummit.
