Description
Reporting to the Unit Manager of the UAH Eating Disorders Program, an Administrative Support IV is being sought to support our services. The successful incumbent should have relevant work experience supporting a broad team of clinicians, with excellent communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a flexible and professional approach. Some tasks related to this position will include: appointment scheduling for physicians and clinicians, management of incoming referrals, drafting and formatting various documents as required, answering incoming phone calls and other inquiries related to program services, and offering a warm, welcoming and engaging demeanor as the first point of contact for the program. The role also includes cross-training and coverage for administrative team colleagues and therefore experience with front reception or as a unit clerk will be an asset. As the successful candidate, you should be adept at maintaining composure and professionalism in an often-changing environment with shifting time-sensitive priorities and expectations. Strong skills are required in planning, attention to detail, time management and interpersonal interactions. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player who will collaborate effectively with colleagues to improve services and outcomes for all clients we serve. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Previous experience supporting programs within addiction and mental health. Front reception experience. Current CPR/BLS certification. Proficiency in use of Connect Care, e-People, ESP scheduler, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Completion of post-secondary education in medical office administration. Unit clerk education will also be considered in combination with knowledge gained from past work experience.
