Description
Work location negotiable. The Administrative Support V is an advanced position that reports to the Senior Lead, Clinical Services and works with minimal guidance and direction to support provincial Contracting Procurement and Supply Management leads for Sourcing, Clinical Services and Data Integrity. This position interacts with other peer administrative support staff and has frequent contact with multiple other stakeholders within AHS. This position supports the team for scheduling, timekeeping, establishing and maintaining department processes; managing electronic and hard copy document storage, retrieval, and version control; managing meetings, preparing follow-up action items for agendas. This position has responsibility to understand and implement visual identity and writing standards to all department documents. The position uses discretion and critical thinking to address escalated issues or problems where there may not be established processes or guidelines. Decisions involve office management, setting priorities, and determining the most efficient process for accomplishing the assigned work. This position also supports and manages local office functions and participates in orientation of new staff. This position works with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization and requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook and Teams. Required ePeople courses include Timekeeping, training for RMS, iExpense, WHMIS, HIAC, EPeople, and all AHS required organizational learning courses. Demonstrated advanced competency in Timekeeping/Approval is required. A minimum of 5 years of related experience in a comparable work environment with similar scope, independence, and responsibility is required. Healthcare experience is required. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, work independently with minimal direction and work under tight timeline pressure while dealing with numerous interruptions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
