The Administrative Support VI - Rural Site & Enhanced Skills Coordinator is responsible for onboarding, orientation, administrative support, assessment distribution and tracking for both the Family Medicine Postgraduate Core & Enhanced Skills (ES) Residents. The incumbent will work closely with the Lethbridge & Medicine Hat Site Directors, ES Director (Calgary) & Program Director (Lethbridge) and Rural IMG Director to ensure successful execution of these 2 programs. The incumbent resolves Resident issues, contributes to the development of policies and procedures, advises the, and manages the day-to-day operations of the Rural Residency Program - all while applying in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding the Residency Program, U of C PGME, CFPC, PARA, and clinical operations in the Division to the management of the Division. This position is complex, guided by multiple intricate guidelines of the FMRP, PGME, CFPC and DLRI. The Incumbent must balance significant competing demands, frequently shifting priorities, and work to extremely important deadlines. The incumbent must exercise excellent judgement and superior resourcefulness in performance of daily activities and in the escalation of issues as appropriate. This position deals with extremely confidential information related to individual Residents and practicing Preceptors on a routine basis.

As an Administrative Support VI, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).

Exceptional oral and written communication, listening, interpersonal skills and ability to successfully interact with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, along with demonstrated competence in time management, strong planning and organizational skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and an aptitude for problem solving, along with proven accuracy and attention to detail, creativity and resourcefulness. Experience in Medical Residency Program administration or related experience in a highly responsible administrative coordination role, preferably in an academic or clinical environment will be an asset.

Undergraduate degree preferred. Advanced training in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 (to include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Calendar), Evaluation & Assessment software, D2L/Brightspace, PGME, New Program Administrator Orientation, CaRMS, Plank, Adobe Acrobat application software, Qualtrics and other similar web-based survey software will be an asset.
