The town of Innisfail has a population of 8,000 with surrounding hamlets. Residents have easy access to the downtown and commercial areas, as well as several parks, playgrounds, bike/walking paths, year-round access to lakes, rivers, and outdoor recreation. The town has 2 large grocery stores, several restaurants, gas stations, banks, various businesses, churches, several schools, an arena, curling rink, and swimming pool. Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing and the Red Deer River is 5 minutes away. Red Deer is approximately 25 minutes North of Innisfail and Calgary is approximately 50 minutes South.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

1-3 years' experience working in the Acute Care/Emergency setting. Lead 2 cardiac lead interpretation course. CTAS IV Direct Administration course. CAM B cardiac rhythm interpretation course. Experience with CVAD. Up to date with LPN courses and the Ability to work to your full scope of practice. Ability to work on your feet for long periods. Ability to work independently and within the team setting. Ability to communicate effectively with all healthcare disciplines. Follow the Policies and Procedures of Alberta Health Services. Up to date It's Your Move and Mask Fit testing.
