As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will play a key role in supporting the needs of patients and families through their rehabilitation journey. The LPN will practice to full scope while supporting the MDT. This position requires someone who is a team player and a multitasker. Unit 4C is a very busy and fast paced unit due to the multiple comorbidities and complex care needs of the patients. As the LPN you are required to provide continuous bed side nursing and work on your feet for extended periods. You will be required to assist patients with ADL's including lifting/transferring and toileting of patients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Recent experience working in an older adult med/surg unit, must have ability to complete physically demanding work and remain on your feet for long periods of time.
