Description

Nestled in the picturesque Battle River Valley, Hardisty is just a two-hour drive from Edmonton. As an LPN at Hardisty Health Centre, you will provide safe, high-quality care in both the Long-Term Care and ER/Acute departments while modeling Patient and Family Centred Care. In this role, you will assess, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive nursing care in alignment with CLPNA standards, offering leadership, guidance, and support to staff. Success in this position requires strong communication and collaboration skill to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, along with critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills, proficiency in technical nursing procedures, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. This position also requires the ability to work shift schedules and meet the physical demands of the role while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Minimum 1 year experience in Acute care, Long Term Care and Emergency room.
Rural Acute Care experience and Completion of Connect Care training is an asset. Experience with Connect Care and general computer skills. CTAS and ACLS.
