We are seeking a dependable and skilled individual to join our Facilities team, supporting the Base Laboratory and 28 Patient Care Centres located throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and minor repairs to ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position plays an important part in supporting the daily operations of healthcare services, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff. As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building. Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting. Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.

As required.

Experience in general maintenance (plumbing, painting, carpentry). Experience in healthcare or institutional settings. Knowledge of WHMIS/OH&S standards. Able to troubleshoot and work independently. Comfortable using tools and equipment. Strong communication skills. Computer skills (e.g., work order systems). Maintenance/trades certification is an asset.
