As the Medical Radiation Technologist II, you will operate in a specialized, highly technical environment of Computerized Tomography. Working with a high level of independence, you will assess patients, analyze, and interpret diagnostic data, and provide information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Venipuncture certification required. Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) certification as required. N95 fitting. Previous experience in appropriate imaging modality and a general knowledge of computers. Practices effective radiation protection.

A minimum of 2 years Computerized Tomography (CT) experience. Medical Administration Certification. CAMRT Continuing Education courses (i.e., CT course 1, 2 & 3) or equivalent CT training course preferred. CAMRT CTIC certificate preferred. Connect Care Training preferred.
