As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for assessment, crisis intervention, and the delivery of evidence-informed psychotherapeutic treatment. In this versatile role, you will support a diverse clientele, including adults, youth, and children, addressing a wide range of issues. We offer clinical mentorship and/or supervision for new RN, RPN, or MSW graduates and provisional psychologists, providing an opportunity to enhance your expertise and career trajectory. This includes the ability to provide brief, short-term, and longer-term psychotherapy. If you are a recent graduate or provisional psychologist, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.
Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
