Description
RAH PET/CT is expanding. RAH PET/CT will be increasing volumes of both FDG and PSMA scanning. This position will rotate through both nuclear medicine and PET/CT with evenings shifts in PET/CT.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Must have ACMDTT Enhanced Practice or CTIC; PET/CT experience preferred. Connect Care training an asset. No physical restrictions such as sitting or standing for extended periods, ability to lift, twist, bend and lift up to 25lb.
Positron Emission Tomography/CT experience. Connect Care training is an asset. Strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Ability to assume responsibility to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates initiative, good judgement, positive attitude and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability in the use of tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and physicians.
