Description
Addiction & Mental Health Supported Housing (AMH Supported Housing) is a fast paced and growing area within Recovery Alberta. We currently partner with several agencies in the Edmonton zone to provide a broad range of clinical services to the clients who reside in both our transitional and long-term housing sites. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team that currently supports the Ambrose Place long term housing site operated by NiGiNan Housing Ventures. The position is both a consultative and case management position with room for the clinician to develop their own style of providing service. It works closely with an interdisciplinary team. It also works closely with agency site managers & staff and requires an ability to collaborate with each site in care planning and service delivery. Our larger housing team has an experienced group of Occupational Therapists who support each other and there is opportunity for Clinical Supervision within our larger portfolio. Service delivery ranges across the spectrum of OT interventions; however, our priority is to provide clinical mental health and addiction supports to residents. Tasks can include mental health assessments, risk assessments, equipment assistance, functional and cognitive assessments and providing feedback to the team in case conferences. There is opportunity to partner with other professions to provide group activities as well. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you will be an employee of Recovery Alberta.
