The Foothills Medical Centre is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our Facility Maintenance Team. Working with a talented team, the Painter will be at the forefront of systems such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, security systems, and electronics systems. You will truly get to work with it all.

As a Painter, you will perform a wide variety of journeyperson level painting duties associated with the application of paint and other finishes to a variety of surfaces in accordance with quality and safety standards, industry practices and department policies. You will provide advice and recommendations on building, equipment and furniture surface applications. In addition, you will ensure adequate supply of material/parts on hand and monitor inventory.

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Painter Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

High school Diploma plus a minimum of 5 years hospital or/and industrial experience with epoxy coatings as well as traditional paint. Computer literacy is required for this position.

AHS is dedicated to employee’s safety. Training in relevant safety procedures is mandatory for all staff working with or around hazardous materials. Field Level Risk Assessments are mandatory for all work processes at AHS. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
