Description
This is an opportunity to join the Pharmacy Informatics team as a Willow Credentialled Trainer (CT) Subject Matter Operational Readiness Expert (SMORE). Reporting to the Pharmacy Informatics Training & Knowledge Translation Manager, approximately 50% of work time would be as a CT and 50% as a SMORE. As a CT, you will facilitate virtual EPIC training for frontline users, collaborate with Senior Trainers, review training materials, and provide end-user support. This role requires effective teaching skills and the ability to address end-user concerns. As a SMORE you will lead decisions on configuring technology related to medication data, including EPIC and Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role involves investigating informatics issues, collaborating with analyst teams and clinicians, and developing innovative solutions. Key skills required include effective communication, strong interpersonal abilities, creative problem-solving, and adaptability. Work hours are generally during weekdays, but occasional shifts outside these hours may be required. Travel will be limited to specific initiatives. Although posted for an Edmonton site, remote or hybrid work within Alberta is acceptable.
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Current/recent work experience as a pharmacist in Alberta Health Services and/or Covenant Health Pharmacy is required. Previous experience with pharmacy clinical information system support as a SMORE, Willow CT/Senior Trainer, Pharmacy CKL, Willow Analyst/App Lead or Pharmacy Connect Care Implementation Lead is required. Project lead experience with demonstrated ability to positively promote the change process and interface with key partners to discuss issues and work towards resolution is required.
Ability to extrapolate knowledge and apply a provincial view based on experience in different pharmacy settings. Experience in adult education. Completion of Willow training tracks.
