We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Pharmacist to join our overnight team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with the AHS formulary and standards. You will collaborate with healthcare providers and pharmacy teams to resolve medication-related issues. The successful candidate will be working overnight shifts (23:00 to 07:15) in the RAH Pharmacy dispensary. This specialized schedule ensures you will always have a colleague by your side, fostering collaboration and teamwork, while providing a strong support system. This unique shift distribution offers work-life balance, alongside a nightshift premium. We strive to provide a balanced schedule, however recognizing that operational pressures may arise.

As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

As required.

Previous dispensary experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred. Competence with connect care preferred. Completion of a Canadian accredited pharmacy residency program preferred. Advanced clinical pharmacy degree, e.g. post-baccalaureate PharmD preferred.
