Description
Radiation Therapist I Casual/Relief positions are available immediately at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta. Students in the final year of a Radiation Therapy Program are encouraged to apply, with flexible start dates available into 2025 pending registration with ACMDTT.
As a Radiation Therapist I, you will deliver a prescribed course of radiation treatment to patients and assist in the efficient, safe and accurate planning of patient's care during simulation and/or planning procedures according to the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. You will assess each patient's reactions to treatment, document treatment plans, and maintain patient records. Additionally, you will educate patients about treatment procedures, side effects, and appropriate management strategies to mitigate the side effects of treatment, making referrals to other health professionals as needed.
Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
