Cancer Care Alberta is currently looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team at the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager of Radiation Therapy you will join a dedicated and collaborative interdisciplinary team comprised of Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrists, Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Allied Health, Nursing and Administrative professionals. You will work with innovative treatment technologies and equipment that include but will not be limited to CT, PETCT, MRI simulators, MR Linacs utilizing adaptive treatment workflows, external beam radiation with Varian True Beam Linacs, Edge Linear Accelerators, MRI guided brachytherapy, a provincial TBI program, Dosimetry specialization opportunities and much more. As a Radiation Therapist II, you will be responsible for the organization and quality of work within your assigned Radiation Oncology Department. You will be responsible for the supervision of Radiation Therapist I's, coaching staff and students, and orientating new staff. You will ensure your team of therapists deliver accurate and precise treatment as well as ensuring Quality Assurance procedures are carried out. You will monitor the performance of equipment/machines and document and report any problems.

Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or an accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies (ACMDTT)

Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). At least 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. MR qualification required. MRSO training completed. Must be able to perform all duties of the job including lifting and moving.

Basic Life Support (BLS). MRSO training completed.
