Description
This job is with Recovery Alberta. The Service Worker manages inventory and stock of supplies, equipment maintenance schedules and cleaning of healthcare equipment and treatment spaces. Works with courier services to transport equipment requiring sterilization, lab collections, and medication procurement. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Must be reliable, hardworking individual that works well with multidisciplinary teams.
