Description
The e-People Training and Change Management team is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of our HCM (PeopleSoft) training material, courses (both e-Learning and Instructor-led) and communications. We provide training and documentation for all AHS timekeeping and time approval staff, manager and employee self-service as well as our HR Shared Services Production Centre and HR Contact Centre teams. Our team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the HR Provincial Template (a.k.a. process maps), knowledge articles for our HR Contact Centre and provides support in the development of HR Forms related to PeopleSoft. The team is very involved in supporting organizational change management for our PeopleSoft process improvements and projects including system upgrades. Our Mission: To deliver high-quality and sustainable Training and Change Management services that support the knowledge, skills and abilities of our partners and clients.
This position will function as a Training Specialist with a primary responsibility to develop and support training and documentation needs for our HR Contact Centre. The position’s primary focus will be to facilitate core new hire training for our HR Contact Centre which includes customer service, systems training, and detailed functional training for Employee Services and Manager Services. The position will also be expected to facilitate training to other HR Shared Services and/or HR Business Partner groups, as required. The successful candidate will use their established facilitation skills and will acquire knowledge of multiple HR policies, procedures and systems to deliver effective and interactive training that will prepare new HR Contact Centre staff to manage and answer client inquiries with confidence, accuracy, and with a strong focus on service excellence. In addition to facilitating training, the successful candidate will develop instructor-led and self-led training and will collaborate with HR Shared Services colleagues and other training and change management team members to ensure training plans and materials are current and available to meet training needs and timelines. This role will also support documentation creation and updates for HR Shared Services and HR Business Partners, as required. The location for this position is Calgary. Please note this position will work remotely initially but may be required to work in the office in the future.
A minimum of three years’ experience in Human Resources, Training, Adult Education; ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver effective training. Experience with successful virtual training delivery. Skilled in classroom management techniques. Ability to transpose complex information into easily understood terms that supports various learning styles. Solid understanding of adult learning principles. Understanding of instructional design models (such as the ADDIE model) used to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs and materials. Ability to learn, retain and deliver a broad scope of HR policy and procedure information. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
Previous experience in a PeopleSoft or other Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Strong attention to detail focusing on being consistent, thorough, and accurate. Ability to understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Contact Centre training experience. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in in Human Resources, Training, Adult Education, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Instructional Design experience is preferred as well as technical writing experience. Understanding and Knowledge of Collective Agreements. A working knowledge of Adobe Suite products, with a focus on Captivate.
