Leduc Community Hospital Administration is currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented team player with strong administrative support skills. Working under limited supervision, the unit clerk will provide general support of the management team. Excellent communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills are essential to this role. If you are a goal oriented, highly organized administrative professional - we want you on our team!

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Completion of post-secondary education program in Business Administration, Medical Office Assistant, or equivalent. Must have demonstrated excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure, and demonstrated skills in setting priorities. Advanced knowledge and experience with computer technology and applications including but limited to: ESP, Word, Excel, email and PowerPoint.

Experience in managing electronic filing systems, shared drives, and records management. Attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive computer work for an extended period. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
