The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, this role is responsible for managing the execution and ensuring the overall success of a comprehensive email marketing strategy that aligns with and amplifies our brand while supporting the achievement of our business objectives.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of CRM & Email Marketing activities and strategy development. Your primary responsibilities will be focused around campaign set-up, testing and execution. The role will also assist in optimizing through automation and personalization in an environment that utilizes technology and data to target and deliver relevant digital messaging across the customer lifecycle.

You will work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales and Operations team members on the lifecycle process including ideation, design, build, launch and growth. You will also be involved in the technical implementation and troubleshooting of data-driven marketing efforts, working closely with the Sales Enablement and IT teams. Being curious and self-motivated will help the ideal candidate in optimizing the current processes for CRM campaigns.

You thrive on staying current with latest trends and best practices in marketing automation and journey building and you have a curiosity for testing & experimentation.

 

What you will be doing

  • In collaboration with both sales and marketing team build and manage overall email and CRM marketing strategy and act as the subject matter expert for all our email marketing efforts
  • Perform day-to-day marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, landing page set-up, scheduling, A/B testing & experimentation, deployment of emails, email deliverability and database management activities, and maintaining the cleanliness of the database
  • Protect and grow our marketing database, making sure that we have high quality contacts with clean data. Manage database cleanup initiatives, establish and develop targeting and list segmentation strategies
  • Plan and execute prospecting campaigns, nurture campaigns and re-engagement campaigns
  • Work with stakeholders to plan and execute marketing automation triggers, flows and lists
  • Own the landing page testing and quality assurance process to ensure leads are captured, scored, and routed correctly for follow up.
  • Create a lead scoring model and design targeted nurture campaigns to educate, engage and convert prospects across the funnel
  • Work closely with internal clients to ensure that the email calendar is up to date and that required resources have been received to ensure effective email delivery
  • Dig into data to understand what messages and campaigns are resonating with our prospects and customers and which ones are not.
  • Regularly monitor email performance data and analyze results for success and for areas of optimization, and help build reports, dashboards and presentations
  • Analyze campaign data to share actionable insights and opportunities with regional teams, and suggest ways to adjust and improve engagement and performance
  • Oversee technical integrations with CRM and lead generation platforms like Salesforce, Yardi, Facebook, etc.
  • Assist in management of our marketing tech stack - from our marketing automation platform to data enrichment. Provide support for website content updates & enhancements.
  • Create HTML emails from scratch and update templates. Draft email copy and subject lines as required
  • Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, marketing permissions, data security and other requirements related to the handling, access and storage of customer data
  • Proactively stay current with the latest CRM, Lifecycle Marketing and Marketing Automation trends, to provide innovative recommendations

 

What you will bring

  • 5 years of experience in lifecycle/email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation and A/B testing preferably in a B2C environment
  • Experience in database management, cleanup and list segmentation and data driven targeting strategies
  • Good understanding of acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns
  • Experience with Eloqua or other marketing automation tools like Pardot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Skilled with technologies, such has HTML, CSS responsive email design, AMPscript, content management systems, and content feeds.
  • Experience moving an organization to a new email platform is a plus.
  • Excellent written and analytic skills and demonstrated track record of developing creative solutions.
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative approach to work; ability to communicate well; willingness to learn and be open to new ideas.
  • Action oriented with effective follow up.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Wrike), Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop) and MS Office 365.
