Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, this position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing analytical tools to drive corporate performance and strategic analysis. The incumbent will work with the business performance team, treasury team, development team, investment team, and department leaders to drive strategic analysis and planning and provide insight to business leaders. This person is a self-motivated, deadline driven professional, dedicated to process improvement and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you will be doing
  • Support the development of Amica’s long-term strategic and value creation plan as well as quarterly performance management against the most recent strategic plan by building dynamic financial models and scenario analysis
  • Support the portfolio valuation and share value calculation and projections
  • Support the preparation of Amica’s annual budget, long-term forecast, and scenario planning using OneStream and/or Excel financial modelling
  • Drive monthly analysis of operational results against budget and assess key residence/portfolio metrics
  • Prepare sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of changes of assumptions on the Company’s portfolio value as well as other implications to its growth strategy
  • Prepare presentations and materials for departments and senior executive team to drive strategic decision making (e.g. liquidity, property developments, renovations, and acquisitions)
  • Drive continuous process improvements through financial data tools and system automation
  • Provide transaction support to M&A and real estate development initiatives
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as required

 

What you will bring

Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with focus on Accounting or Finance
  • CPA, CFA, and / or CBV Designation or equivalent (or in the process of obtaining)
  • Minimum 4 years in a Finance/Accounting role
  • Advanced Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with a proven record of delivering presentations to key stakeholders
  • Experienced in financial modeling (valuation, operational, LBO models, etc.)
  • Developed customer service approach
  • Ability to prioritize
  • An ability to build strong working relationships across the organization
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Works well on a team and individually
  • A positive attitude 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the real estate industry
  • Experience with OneStream
  • Experience with Yardi
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI)
