What the day will look like
  • This function is responsible for the training program for Aon Client Services
  • Successfully supports and markets vision to key stakeholders with organization, including members of Canadian leadership team
  • Facilitate creation of training materials for colleagues using various platforms available (i.e. live Webex, in person training, recorded sessions, etc.) and any other platforms that may become available over time.
  • Develops conclusions from analysis and applies results to business operations
  • Develop and maintain new hire and existing colleague upgrade training to be housed on Workday and in SharePoint training site
  • Provides input into the unit’s business plan
  • Develops and handles collaborative relationships/ networking with multiple-level internal contacts across units
  • Develop and maintain tracking through Workday so managers have visibility as to what training new hires and current employees have completed and so employees are aware and have visibility to what training is required for specific positions
  • Develop and maintain training requirements for field office colleagues, CSS and mid office colleagues– both process and soft skills
  • Engage colleagues (both full and part-time) as subject matter expert trainers
  • Contributes toward strategy for seamless workflow in support of all Client Success Function activities by appropriately identifying process issues and recommending enhancements and supporting continuous performance improvement where gaps in knowledge are identified.
  • Supports the development of an extraordinary, shared services operations capability that delivers competitive advantages and economies of scales within the National Commercial segment.
  • Contributes towards implementation of standard processes, best practices and tools/systems that increase the efficiency of information exchanges among processes, clients, and strategic industry partners.
  • Support team leaders in creating individual developmental plans as part of the formal performance management system
  • Supervise Training Coordinator, who is part of the ACS Training Team
  • Education or experience in adult learning an asset
  • Develop and exemplify a culture that is fast-paced, supportive, innovative and fun.
How this opportunity is different

The Aon Client Services Learning and Development team is looking for a Team Lead to bring innovative ideas on how we can continue to advance our new colleagues and upskill our existing workforce. This position will focus on excelling in fundamental tasks, crafting training materials, and implementing training sessions for colleagues at all levels. As we continue to work and evolve our 3x3 strategy within Aon, this position will be instrumental to drive change through training, development and content creation.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experienced knowledge on Xpress and Polaris Systems
  • Experience in training
  • Experience in providing constructive and positive feedback
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Great teammate who can collaborate effectively with diverse individuals; and
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills;
