This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Saskatoon or Winnipeg office.

What the day will look like
As a Senior Consultant and leader in Retirement Consulting, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Aon’s success while you:
- Help our clients by:
- Leading client relationships for small to medium-sized accounts;
- Providing strong support on large clients;
- Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Understanding all projects involved and making sure all needs are being met and on schedule;
- Working through larger, more complex projects with little oversight while taking responsibility for the results, including explanations, presentations, and impacts;
- Demonstrating expertise and making reasonable interpretations of the impacts of technical concepts; and
- Developing and participating in effective oral presentations, both individually and in collaboration with team members.
- Help our business and colleagues by:
- Participating in business development activities;
- Coordinating resources within your local office and across offices within Canada;
- Collaborating on client activities with other experienced team members;
- Displaying confidence, passion, and leadership; and
- Supervising, guiding, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
How this opportunity is different
Retirement programs have large financial implications for employers. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and supporting passionate client teams in the management of the financial risk of their clients’ retirement programs.
In this role, you will work with a broad and diverse array of clients in both the public and private sectors. Collaborating with teams of colleagues you will lead and contribute to the day-to-day delivery of retirement services. You will also assist in marketing activities, take part in the development of new service offerings, and expand your skills through continued learning.
As a member of the Aon Wealth Solutions team and a leader of the business, you will also work closely with colleagues in our Commercial Risk, Health, and Reinsurance Solutions businesses to bring the best of Aon to address client needs and to help give our clients the clarity and confidence to make better decisions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Self-motivated with a desire to continue learning and growth
- Ability to manage varying requests with a willingness to go outside of your comfort zone
- 7+ years of experience in pension plan consulting or related field
- Written and oral communication skills (English)
- Well versed in organizational, project management, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another other equivalent degree
- Partially qualified actuary (ASA/ACIA) required, fully qualified actuary (FSA/FCIA) desired
