Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and innovative programming to students in a number of communities. The division is unique in that it is surrounded by a multitude of lakes, golf courses and trails that appeal to an active, outdoor lifestyle while still being in close proximity to larger urban centers.
Many schools within Aspen View are geographically located to allow beginning teachers to meet the requirements of the Northern Student Teacher Bursary and/or Northern Alberta Development Council bursaries
Thorhild Central School, located in the Hamlet of Thorhild, provides educational services to approximately 300 students in Grades K-12.
Thorhild Central School is recruiting to a part time elementary teacher. The 0.5 FTE teaching assignment will include STEM, Music, Physical Education and Division 2 Supports. This position will be 2.5 days/week; all day Tuesday, Wednesday morning and all day Thursday. The successful candidate will be very familiar with the new elementary curriculum, a self-starter and an independent worker.
This position will commence upon hiring.
