Job Summary

The Ministry of Health is responsible for maintaining an accessible, high quality, affordable system for health service delivery that meets the needs of the citizens of the Province of BC. Its mandate is to support and enhance a responsive, comprehensive, regionalized health care system that promotes and provides for the physical, mental and community health of all British Columbians.

The Finance and Corporate Services Division supports the Ministry Executive and programs and health authorities. The division manages and ensures a consistent approach to financial and corporate services planning, policy, performance oversight/reporting, and critical financial and corporate services issues management. The branches within the division provide financial advice and assist programs to meet their strategic goals and operational plans, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and central agency directives.

The Change Management Analyst leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the change management components of medium to large multi-faceted projects and process improvement initiatives with multiple key deliverables, having external and internal impact, internal and external interest holders and assigned resources. The position leads change management activities to ensure successful user adoption of the projects within scope, schedule, budget, and specified quality and provides expertise and support to the Senior Manager, Project Leads and Project Teams with regard to change management, continuous improvement and specific initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in Change Management (CCMP, Prosci or similar).
  • Two years of recent related experience. Recent related experience must be from within the last five (5) years and include the following:
    • Experience applying change management principles and methodologies in a corporate services setting.
    • Experience leading organizational change efforts.
    • Experience working effectively with internal and external interest holders.
    • Experience with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in the development of corporate communications.
  • Three or more years of recent, related experience.
