Job Summary

A great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction focuses on reducing poverty, creating opportunities, and increasing inclusion. The ministry provides strategic leadership and quality services that empower British Columbians to share in the province’s prosperity, with a vision to participate fully in their community and to reach their full potential. The Employment and Labour Market Services Division (ELMSD) supports all British Columbians in achieving sustainable employment. To help those in need find and maintain employment, the division works with contracted service providers to provide job search resources, employment planning, skills assessment, training, work experience and more.

The Contract and Partnership Agent (CAPA) is responsible for the oversight of WorkBC services in communities across British Columbia, including WorkBC Employment Services, WorkBC Apprentice Services, WorkBC Assistive Technology Services and referrals to Community and Employer Partnership (CEP) projects. As the Ministry's primary contact for contractor communication and overall contract management, the CAPA is responsible for managing ministry interests in the day-to-day administration of all WorkBC contracts. This includes responsibility for contract compliance, communications, risk and issues management, performance and budget management, and initiating actions to support contract amendments.

The CAPA plays an integral role in supporting ministry objectives and is a liaison with contracted service providers and other community organizations, to build and foster collaborative working relationships. This position ensures service delivery approaches meet the needs of the communities and that issues, drivers and trends impacting contract performance and budget projections are addressed proactively.
