The Team
The Strategic Planning, Performance & Engagement Branch provides strategic and business planning, performance, evaluation and reporting, employee engagement, executive and internal communications, and implementation support services for the division. We’re a team of 13 professionals dedicated to supporting leaders and staff across the province serving vulnerable children, youth, young adults and families. The Role
The Change Management Specialist is a trusted advisor and skilled consultant who works directly with leaders and project teams to implement change across high-profile initiatives, programs and projects. You’re an experienced change leader and skilled facilitator who can influence and coach diverse teams, shift to meet changing priorities, and create compelling, persuasive plans, content and activities.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (change management, project management, communications, marketing, journalism, leadership, or public sector management) and 2 years of related experience; OR
• Diploma in a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
• Certificate or coursework in a related field and 4 years related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience includes the following:
• Experience leading change management initiatives with internal and external impacts.
• Experience coaching executive and project managers through their change management roles and responsibilities.
• Experience using change & project management principles and practices.
Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
• Additional years of directly related experience.
• Experience concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents and content for senior leaders and executive (e.g. presentations, briefing notes, discussion papers, fact sheets, correspondence).
• Experience developing, fostering and maintaining effective relationships with executive, senior leaders, external partners and stakeholders.
• Certification in change management by an accredited organization.
• An advanced degree (e.g. Masters) in a related field.
• Experience working in the BC Public Service social sector.
• Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
